Lempuyang Temple, located on the slopes of Mount Lempuyang in East Bali, is one of the island's oldest and most revered temples. The complex consists of 7 temples, with the most famous being the "Gateway to Heaven," popularized on social media. While most temples are easy to reach, the main Luhur Temple requires climbing 1,440 steep steps, offering a challenging but rewarding experience. Visitors on clear days can enjoy views of Mount Agung. The temple is about 2 hours from Ubud and best reached by car or guided tour.
